O Sonho do Ninja (The Dream of the Ninja)
Uma das características essências ao Ninjutsu é a presença de uma beleza escura, um universo sombrio repleto de mistérios, o mundo de Yugen. Todos que iniciam sua caminhada nesta arte são recebidos pelos mistérios de Yugen. As lendas antigas nos contam de homens corvos, de magia e de encantamentos. A história nos traz informações vagas que acabam num especo véu de névoa que vela a realidade. A invisibilidade não era uma habilidade empregada apenas pelo corpo, mas que permeia todo o Ninjutsu. Ele deixa sua presença ser percebida, mas jamais se revela, senão para aqueles que o encontram dentro de si mesmos. Nos dias atuais, gera controvérsias entre aqueles que gostariam de acreditar na supremacia dos métodos modernos de nossa cultura global e fingir que nunca existiram coisas que não podemos mensurar ou mesmo sequer explicar. Assim, são poucos praticantes que acordam do sonho do mundo de Yugen e percebem que a magia e o encantamento estão fundamentados numa compreensão da realidade brutalmente lúcida e prática. Os poucos que despertam sabem desligar sua compulsão de tudo querer explicar pela razão, compreendem que há um motivo para a natureza vaga dos ensinamentos, que sua chave se encontra na idéia de Zanshin, uma atenção expansiva e relaxada que a tudo abarca sem nada conter. Somente perseverando neste estado de espírito é que se encontra a luminosidade presente nas sombras e se pode encontrar o fio do Tao e ser realmente iniciado na essência do Ninpo. Aqueles que buscam explicações lógicas e “científicas” estão condenados a não escapar as espeças teias que existem nas sombras, tecidas pelos assistentes de Fudo Myo, para aprisionar os cães da razão com toda a sua mesquinhez.

One of the essential characteristics of Ninjutsu is the presence of a dark beauty, a somber universe full of mysteries, the world of Yugen. All who start their journey in this art are welcomed by the mysteries of Yugen. The ancient legends tell us of crow-men, of magic and spells. History brings us vague information which ends up in a thick veil of mist that shrouds reality. Invisibility wasn´t an ability used only by the body, but in fact permeates the whole of Ninjutsu. It allows its presence to be perceived, but never reveals itself, other than to those who find it in themselves. In our current days, it generates all kinds of controversy amongst those who would like to believe in the supremacy of the modern methods of our global culture, and pretend that things that cannot be measured or explained ever existed. Therefore, few are the practitioners who awaken from the dream of the world of Yugen and perceive that the magic and enchantment are based on an understanding of reality that is brutally lucid and practical. The few that awaken know how to shut down their compulsion to explain everything by means of reason, they understand that there is a purpose for the vagueness of the teachings, that it´s key lies in the idea of Zanshin, an expansive and relaxed attention that embraces all and yet is attached to nothing. Only by persevering in this state of mind is that one may find the luminosity amongst the shadows, and find the thread of the Tao and be truly initiated in the essence of Ninpo. Those who seek reason based or “scientific” explanations are condemned to not escape the thick webs that inhabit the darkness, threaded by the assistants of Fudo Myo to imprison the dogs of reason with all of their pettyness.
